Dunfermline

Dunfermline is a Royal Burgh and the tenth largest town of Scotland with a population of around 49,706 according to 2011 census. The city is also known as a dormitory town for Edinburgh and ancient capital of Scotland. The traces of history was first found in Neolithic period in the 11th century including the discovery of Cropmark used for the mortuary enclosure, arrowheads and carved stone ball. The era of Bronze Age came with significant finds of Cist burials, gold torc, Wellwood and a bronze dagger. The three-quarters of the city witnessed massive fire leading to the decline in the wealth of the city.
